Introducing the Catalytic Discipleship Lessons
A one-to-one discipleship course that runs for eight Sundays committed to making disciple-makers who are transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Union Church of Manila's mission is to make disciples and our values continue to guide everything we do.
In the spirit of birthing new programs for the church, we're introducing the Catalytic Discipleship Lessons, a seven-lesson set of foundational Christian assurances and practices.

Why "catalytic"?
"Catalytic" means causing a process or event to happen or increasing the rate at which it occurs. There is an urgent need for action when it comes to reaching lost people, making disciples, and becoming disciples. Your participation can make a significant difference.
The UCM core leadership is committed not only to making disciples but also to making disciple-makers by this action-centered principle. You can trust in our commitment to guide you in this journey.
The Catalytic Discipleship Lessons (CDL) course has a dual purpose.
First, it aims to give you the basics to help new believers grow, including guidance on how to build a one-to-one discipleship relationship in an interactive setting.
When a person accepts Christ, our work has just begun. The first week, even the first 24 hours, is crucial in establishing a new believer's journey with God. We care for new believers as we would for newborns so they can grow in maturity, including helping others come to Christ and grow in their new faith.
Second, CDL aims to refresh mature Christians into a renewed approach to the church's mission and increase our confidence in disciple-making.
The course includes weekly teachings, the practice of spiritual disciplines, personal reading and devotions, and pre and post-work assignments, including memory verses.
Full participation and commitment are required to honor everyone's time and process in the course. We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances may arise, but missing more than two sessions will result in being asked to restart CDL in the next round.
