We believe that a series of small steps in the right direction can take us to new places of transformation we never thought possible.

What I like most is being made aware of “respectable sins” that we tend to tolerate because we do not know they are wrongful
or because it has become the norm of our lives. I was able to renew my commitment to God through this retreat.

I found CDL to be an effective tool in presenting and teaching foundational truths about our faith. The order of how it was laid out was excellent,
the progression was logical and each lesson was built up from the last. For a new believer (and even for a long-time believer) it is good to know not only what you believe, but why you believe it. It is good that each workbook lesson is directly lifted from Scripture but also allows the participant to think through in their own words, and then there's a practical application or response at the end. Additionally, I also loved how the lessons connected to UCM's core values.
It brought to life the church's values so they are not just an abstract.
